+Vivian joined OpenAQ in June 2024 as a summer intern through the [Health Effects Institute Fellowship](https://www.healtheffects.org/research/funding/fellowship) program. At OpenAQ, Vivian participates in research documentation for the upcoming Air Quality Index tool as well reflecting on the importance of accessible air quality data through writing impact stories. Vivian is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering at California Polytechnic University. She is a member of the Prototype Vehicles Laboratory, focused on designing a record-breaking long-range electric vehicle, as well as co-president of the Textiles Engineering Club, focused on integrating environmental sustainability within industry.
