WLAN-Pi on Raspberry Pi 4 with an ANDDEAR-MT7612U Wifi Adapter #21
-
Hello, How did you get the ANDDEAR-MT7612U wifi adapter to function in the USB3 ports on the Raspberry Pi 4B? It errors out and will not function on other Linux builds with the in-kernel drivers. Thanks |

What errors are you getting? I built the WLAN Pi CE version using the suggested hardware (including that ANDDEAR MT7612U adapter), and I didn't notice any issues. Might be able to do a like-for-like test, if you give me some more info to go by. |

Hi @ThatIdiotSid, thanks for your response. I've included the errors I'm receiving below - there's quite a few of them depending on how long the adapter is plugged in/etc. Basically, the adapter doesn't work/won't initialize in the top (oriented normally) USB3 port of the Pi 4B but will work in the bottom USB3 port. It works fine in USB2 ports on the Pi 4B and the CM4. USB Scatter Gather has been disabled and the issue persists. I installed WLAN-Pi OS on the Pi 4B and had the same issue. Any testing or input would be helpful, I appreciate it. I've just reproduced the issue on my setup. The MediaTek adapter works in the green USB 2.0 ports and in the bottom USB 3.0 port. The top USB 3.0 doesn't work. |
