Owncloud folder disappears from left pane in Windows Explorer after disabling virtual files #11337

Describe the bug

When cliking on "Disable virtual files", the owncloud folder in the left pane of Windows explorer disappeared.

Expected behavior

This is not supposed to happen

Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. Click on "disable virtual files"
  2. Go back to Windows Explorer.

Intentionally removed in 5.x:

Focus is VFS, and the legacy sidebar entries for non-VFS would require separate maintenance efforts. We'll add a note in the docs.

As a workaround, just create a shortcut to your sync folder in your Win Explorer sidebar? ("📌 Pin to Quick access")
