Test set up to verify that grblHAL is seeing the ADC input. Feel free to use different values but make sure that Vin does not exceed 5V by much. The clamping diodes will handle some overvoltage but don't push your luck. |

By the way, I have decided to price the Non-beta boards at 29.95. I realize it's a lot for such a small board but the chips alone are more expensive than the entire teensy breakout board costs me per unit. The beta boards are still $20. |

what's the difference between the two? The ADC and I2C shifter are pricey boogers for what they are... I saw one company wanted over $10 for the ISO level shifter. |

Between the beta and final? Nothing yet. I will add in any fixes, if needed. I get them a bit cheaper but not happy about the price. I am looking at a different ADC that is about half the price but that's not happening soon. |

Thinking out loud... Maybe put "long tail" Arduino style sockets (from bottom of board), just in case I want/need to run other I2C boards in future? Input expander? |

You mean stacking? I think you could do that as the board doesn't have the I2C header installed (I provide a 6 pin socket but you don't need to use it.) As long as the stacked I2C devices have different addresses, it should work. I'd be careful about mechanical fit considerations, though. |

Stacking, yes. Mechanical fit would definitely have to be considered as well as stress on the T41U5XBB. Also thinking a simple I2C header cable to a more sturdy stack might be an option. |

Another thing to be aware of is the need for I2C pullups. I didn't include them on the Teensy side of the I2C bus and it works ok but when you put multiple devices you might need to do something. I2C bus loading is some what of a voodoo subject. |

Ive got my board and adc assembled, and compiling and uploading from platformio sorted out. What program are you using to test the ADC? I think i have my config roughly correct my_machine.h. I see a THC panel in above image, and assume your using io sender. right now its not giving me the THCmonitor tab. Guessing its a config error somewhere? edit: T41U5XBB with your new THC proto board |

My process was build through PlatformIO and use IOSender 2.0.44p4 (I had to work with Terje) to get the THC monitor to appear. I have not tried enabling the ADC yet. Project has gotten off track. |

Okay great, I'm in Denver. I am using Smart Ramps with Due, should work if I use the right resistors to drop to 1/2 3.3v? |

Does smart ramps have an I2C connection? The I2C interface can run at 3.3V or 5V. I've only tested it at 3.3V. The isolated voltage input can be 7-24V and the internal I2C and ADC device runs at 5V. No resistors needed to drop the voltage for the interface though at 5V you might need the I2C pullup resistors. By dropping resistors, do you mean for the arc voltage? You want to drop it to 2.5V from the expected arc voltage though grblHAL's plug-in will allow you to adjust it. |

Yes there is a I2C connection, this is a screenshot of the pins. Yes I meant for the arc voltage. terjeio refered me to your project here - grblHAL/SAM3X8E#24 There is not currently support for the SAM3X8E driver yet, but hopefully will be soon. Let me know how I can send the money to you? |

I got my beta test run today. grblHAL seems to work with it. I only use a potentiometer as a voltage divider to simulate Arc Voltage but grblHAL tracks when I change the potentiometer setting.
I have 7 available for people if they want them. I'm asking $20 for these plus shipping/handling. ($5.50 in the US, contact me about international shipping.)
