Constructing a PMTiles file from a ZXY directory of tiles

Hi @bdon, How did you build the PMTiles file containing the terrarium terrain tiles up to zoom 12? I managed to extract and reprocess all the tiles in that file and now I want to construct a new PMTiles archive with the reprocessed tiles. So far I've not found a pathway to getting there. I thought I might be able to build a MBTiles file and then convert that, but so far I've been unable to construct a single MBTiles file containing all the data.

I scraped the tiles into a MBTiles container first, since SQLite is a useful transactional database format, and used pmtiles convert after.
