[SURE-6518] GKE Operator - Autopilot support #136
Comments
This will need to be fixed with the install of the cluster agent as part of this: rancher/rancher#39052 |

@mjura & @kkaempf as @richard-cox noted, feature requests need to go through Product for prioritization since we have an existing list from them that are already scheduled. |
@davidstauffer please create a respective JIRA and ping me again |

SURE-6518
Summary
As a User, I want to provision Cluster with GKE Autopilot so that I can use the full google managed offerings for Kubernetes.
Goal
We need to support the autopilot mode for GKE so that customers can use 'autopilot' instead of 'standard'. Find more about the modes.
Background
Currently, we don't support GKE autopilot mode clusters. We have customers with significant usage that are specifically asking us to support autopilot for GKE. If we don't support GKE autopilot we risk to push them towards different solutions for cluster lifecycle management.
