what terminal emulator are you using. kew uses chafa which "scales" the image quality depending on terminal capabilities.

Konsole, kitty, st displays them properly:

Thanks for the prompt reply, It's the default ubuntu terminal just customized it a little bit, according to echo $TERM it's xterm-256color

can the configuration interfering with Kew ?

I think you are right, my terminal is the issue, I tried to scale out and the image is becoming more clear but the text is so small now lol

If you want you can try a different terminal, you might like it. :)
