Conversation
Thanks for the pull request, and welcome! The Rust team is excited to review your changes, and you should hear from @joshtriplett (or someone else) soon. If any changes to this PR are deemed necessary, please add them as extra commits. This ensures that the reviewer can see what has changed since they last reviewed the code. Due to the way GitHub handles out-of-date commits, this should also make it reasonably obvious what issues have or haven't been addressed. Large or tricky changes may require several passes of review and changes. Please see the contribution instructions for more information. |

I think it's probably best to just leave this module as-is (perhaps adding a top-level allow at most). The hermit folks are the ones who can review safety comments in it well and for now it's not necessary. I can accept this with the changes reverted and an allow added instead of denys. I would guess that having the current diff available though would be helpful, so posting a link to a gist or so with the diff seems good. Thanks! |

Could we put these in hermit/mod.rs
instead?

`#![deny(unsafe_op_in_unsafe_fn)]` in sys/hermit Partial fix of rust-lang#73904. This encloses ``unsafe`` operations in ``unsafe fn`` in ``sys/hermit``. Some unsafe blocks are not well documented because some system-based functions lack documents.
