It is good that the test is now passing, but I'm curious as to what was wrong with the previous way of merging the config... that should have worked I would have thought?
Can you please look into what the issue was/is? If the merge config stuff is not working and cannot be made to work we should either remove it or make it work and use it (and not hard code these properties in the main config).
