Sympa Accessibility Issue - 16 - Accessing Navigation Menu, once tab selected focus goes back to Top Bar Navigation

The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Technology Services Accessibility Testing team conducted an Accessibility Review of Sympa on September 25, 2023 and found 26 issues that need to be fixed to make the interface accessible for visual impaired users.

Using a Screen Reader, and keyboard one a tab selected focus needs to go into selected content.

Actual behavior

When accessing the navigation menu using keyboard, once a tab is selected, the focus goes back to top bar navigation before it goes into the selected tab contents

Steps to reproduce

When accessing the navigation menu using keyboard, once a tab is selected, the focus goes back to top bar navigation before it goes into the selected tab contents. Users expect to get into the content if they selected that tab. Focusable components need to receive focus in an order that preserves meaning and operability only when navigation sequences affect meaning and operability.
