Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

As a user of Thoth, I would like to receive information on the number of downloads for each package in the resolved stack, In such a case, I would get an overview on the number of downloads for each package-version and can consider a package to be unpopular, too fresh to use or possibly dangerous if the number of downloads is a small number.

Describe the solution you'd like

  • implement a handler in prescriptions-refresh-job that aggregates download stats for each package and creates prescriptions
  • check available sources for project downloads (eg. BigQuery)
  • consider a timeframe for downloads ex 6 month timeframe (brought to attention by Maya)
  • create human understanable tresholds, similarly as for GitHub popularity
