Analysis of Map and Satellite Images

Bachelor Informatics 2017 Group 13 [DIRMIN + Bouvet] @NTNU
Map analysis using neural networks for aerial photo recognition of quarries in Norway. To be used in cooperation with DIRMIN (Direktoratet for Mineralforvalting i Norge), to find undiscovered quarries, gravel extraction etc.

Installation

1. Install Python 2.7 from here NB: It is a requirement!
2. Download MapScanner from here.
3. Download testmaps from here to have testdata.
4. Extract folders preferable near to root e.g. D:\ (Due to filepath length issues with Windows OS).
5. Navigate to folder MapScanner.
6. Run MapScanner.exe
7. Use the included testmaps folder for test data.
8. Use!
