Hi @ProjectMoon, @Hoshpak, since the update to 1.6.2, the icon of riot-desktop is missing on my systray (window manager: dwm). Can you report back if it's displayed fine for you on your desktop environment / window manager?

It works fine on KDE as long as dbus is set up properly (see #21766). This is the second report of the tray icon disappearing on a window manager (not full desktop). I am not sure where the bug with Riot lies, but I suspect it has something to do with Riot itself, or a newer version of Electron. In particular, can you make sure that your window manager is running in a dbus session by launching it with dbus-run-session and checking env | grep DBUS in a terminal. Also try launching riot-desktop in the terminal and see if anything useful shows up.
