This bignumber.js reference has been painful today. However its still being included in "npm install web3"

@burritofridays you can (temporarily) set your web3 dependency directly to this commit in your package.json.

EDIT: I just realized that in my own case, this is still a huge pain since I have dependencies on other packages that depend on web3 in turn.
