Sorry about the crytic error message as I haven't really worked on the ux part of the program It's normal that that particular message shows up when you are reconnecting. It just means that you were previously disconnected somehow. (The connection here refers to the control connection, which is separate from the remote play connection; as the name suggests it's used to control the functions and it's how remote play is requested to be started.) That also means there don't seem to be anything wrong in your setup. Since you are getting pings everything should just work. (In theory anyway) When using the viewer does auto detect work after you successfully ping your 3ds from your pc? If you can information such as which version of the viewer and cia you are using would be helpful. (As an aside I wonder why there's no linebreak your screenshot, I specifically coded them to be in separate lines..) |
Just to double check, is the screen mirroring working for you, and you are just asking about the error message? If so, that message is harmless. If the program isn't working, let me know what steps you took to try to get it to work so I can try to reproduce the issue and debug it on my end. Thanks! |
So the screen-mirroring wasn't working, no. I just tried it on the most
up-to-date (non pre-release) version. Wasn't working on the pre-releases
either. I HAVE gotten it to work on the pre-release of the .cia +
Snickerstream, though! It just doesn't like Pokemon Ultra Moon even with
the NFC patch. Working on updating the actual game to see if that helps.

So there are two issues need solving here it seems:
May i ask do you get a black image display, or just a blue background, or is it something else entirely? Does the viewer crash? One thing to try is set Reliable Stream to Off, then click connect and see if it works in that case.
If you are not using the X+Y menu, try using that. If that's not working with Pokemon either then I'll have to do some testing on my end. |
Exact same problem here. I get nothing but the blue background. I tried both the 0.2.2.1 pre-release and the 0.1.4.2 versions of the viewer with the 0.3.0.1 ntr selector .cia and I get this : The curious thing is that the 3DS ip port (8000) is different from the viewer port (8001). I don't know if that's a normal thing, but either way I also put the viewer port to 8000 on both my n3ds and the NTR viewer hr and get the same result. |
Sorry that it's a bit confusing. The 3DS port is the listening port on the 3DS for connection requests from the PC. Viewer's port is the PC's port for listening remote play stream sent by the 3DS. They don't need to be the same. Only the viewer's port needs to be changed if, say, you are streaming multiple 3DSes to the same PC. As for the problem with no video showing after connection, is your firewall allowing UDP traffic through for the NTR viewer? Also, check and see if snickerstream works for you so we can make a better guess at where the problem lies. Thanks. |
Grabbed a New! 3DS XL just so I could remote-stream to do a little challenge I had planned for Pokemon (Generations Challenge, as I call it), but I can't seem to get a connection through anything other than ChirunoMod. Unfortunately, the quality seems to stick around 20fps so I went back to trying to get NTRviewer and NTR-HR to work since I have heard good things about it. This is the error my CMD window keeps throwing up:

Not the most tech-savvy person on the planet but I really can't figure this one out. I do get ping back and forth between my computer and 3ds
