There is taking minimum 40-120 minutes in One video downloading.

So improve this issue

Here's the solution: https://code.videolan.org/videolan/vlc/-/issues/26174#note_286445

You need to use this endpoint instead of /get_video_info. The only issue I see is that there are no adaptive streaming playlists (hls) any more, so you might have to change how you merge streams.

Hey,
in last few days I also observe similar problem.
Trying to download only audio stream (options: -f bestaudio -i), the download speed is now approximately 45 KiB/s.
In the past hard stopping (Ctrl+C) and relaunching usually helped. But now it doesn't - the speed does not increase at all.

Same experience. Downloads have moved to dial-up speeds in the last several weeks.
