I've ported inputTemplate from yii2-bootstrap/Activefield. This feature is useful to change the template when using Activeform.
For example:
<?= $form->field($model, 'username',[ 'inputTemplate' =>"<div class='ui left icon input'>". Elements::icon('user')."{input}</div>", 'options' => ['class'=>'field'] ])->textInput(['maxlength' => 255, 'placeholder'=>'Username'] ) ?>
