Problem
Depending on some platforms and types of file systems, it may not be possible to get the metadata creation time.
For example, the
btrfs
file system, or when using WSL.The simplest way to solve this problem is to use a modified time instead of a creation time.
By default, session files (socket files) do not change the time of metadata after the session is created.
Therefore, there will be no problem even if the modified time is used.
Also, in the case of
mtime
, most major filesystems are supported.
