This pull request updates:

  • Updates composer.json to support 7.0, 8.0, and 8.1.
  • Updates PHPUnit to version 9.
  • Fixes warnings in unit tests, as well as deprecated calls.

@bakura10 If you can review this at your earliest, it will be great.

With the discontinuation of 7.4, the need to move to 8, and 8.1 are necessary.
