I think it's better to move
gnrc_mac_tintognrc_netdev2completely. This type wastes 2 bytes on 32-bit platforms anyway due to alignment. This includes the MAC info as a 2-byte-bitfield, so we save the 8 byte your choice of type generated. ;-)
