Address Geocoding Solution Options 3rd Party

The goal of the POC is gather and utilize Geocode data using a free 3rd party app from the appexchange.

Assumptions

• The org has installed and configured the PMM Module

• Geocode & Mapping: map records and verify addresses (Starter Ed.) By Galigeo
• Galigeo Documentation

Instructions

• Install Galigeo app from the aapexchange
• Follow instructions in documentation Galigeo Documentation
• You can either use the included Visualforce pages or create a new Visualforce page as described in the documentation

Conclusions

1. It is possible to bring latitude and longitude information based on a pre-populated address information
2. It is possible to search for an address and populate and needed information to display correctly on the map
3. It is possible to move the pin on the map to the specific and correct location
4. No activation needed. Just installed from AppExchange and either use the included Visualforce pages or create a new Visualforce page as described in the documentation
5. We did not find an option to batch update existing addresses with geolocation information (latitude and longitude)
