The topic of having a list of food-like-things NOT to feed your children
came up in conversation where @iteles was explaining the "origin story" of her "sweet tooth" ....

Most people do not have a list of things they chose not to eat.

Concept

Have a list of things that you have personally researched (either through experience or reading peer-reviewed medical studies) that you do not want to consume in order to maintain/promote health.
The list would be shared with loved ones, friends and work colleagues (who are often friends!)
such that everyone knows without needing to ask exactly what you do not want to eat.

Sample List

  • No Animal Products (Beef, Chicken, Pork, Duck, Turkey, Eggs, Fish or Dairy!) Should we eat meat? #50
  • No Sugar or Sugar Substitute (Sucrose, Sweeteners, Honey, Maple Syrup or High Fructose Cor Syrup!) What sugar does to your brain #82
  • No Fried Foods even (especially) not vegetables e.g: tempura, potato chips, etc.
  • No "Empty Calories" e.g: Fruit Juice, Soda or Snacks see: https://www.webmd.com/diet/features/beware-empty-calories
  • No Alcohol of any kind. these are basically the definition of "empty" calories. Alcohol? #48 (I have never consumed alcohol, so this is "easy" for me to continue... but a lot of people don't know this about me so sometimes give us bottles of plonk...)

Background Research

A Google search for "do not feed list" https://www.google.com/search?q=do+not+feed+list
returns results for pets for the first few pages ...

Nothing on/for Humans.
I guess the closest thing would be "allergy list"...?

searching for "don't eat list": https://www.google.com/search?q=don%27t+eat+list

Most of the results relate to a specific ("fad") diet ...
e.g: The First suggested result is for "Whole30" (a 30 day wholefoods diet):
