problem

in the demo I downloaded a zipped shapefile and a GeoTIFF and neither had the qml, so I had to download it separately.

solution

  • zipped shapefile: include the qml and metadata xml

  • GeoTiff: zip it with qml and metadata xml

If you a looking at this as geosafe/516, ignore it. It was moved to geonode/539 usings github's new issue transfer tool (so it actually IS geonode/539 now) but Waffle doesn't seem to be able to handle this
