Special notes for your reviewer:

I wrote to Podman and CRI-O package maintainer, aka @lsm5 / https://github.com/lsm5 about this issue on Debian 10, and he told me enabling the buster backport was necessary and pointed me to https://podman.io/blogs/2021/03/02/podman-support-for-older-distros.html

Thanks !

Does this PR introduce a user-facing change?:

Hi @AnatomicJC. Thanks for your PR.

I'm waiting for a kubernetes-sigs member to verify that this patch is reasonable to test. If it is, they should reply with /ok-to-test on its own line. Until that is done, I will not automatically test new commits in this PR, but the usual testing commands by org members will still work. Regular contributors should join the org to skip this step.

Once the patch is verified, the new status will be reflected by the ok-to-test label.

I understand the commands that are listed here.

@AnatomicJC just to clarify, the note above RE: stopping builds for older distros applies to podman, buildah and skopeo, not necessarily to cri-o. For cri-o, I'll let @haircommander speak as he's the main maintainer for it.

This line 9-11 seems redundant with line 22-24 in the same block.

You're right @oomichi , I first add this condition on the 2 tasks, then put them in a block, and forgot to remove it.

Fixed, thanks !
