One cannot navigate all the logos under Science tab in Ecosystem section on main page very smoothly.

If you slide the text written above the logos the site does not slide, not even if you slide on the logos.

I have a moto g 6 and I opened Numpy.org on chrome browser.

@melissawm also the logos under the Science tab look out of sync with the NumPy Color Palette.

Logos are black (although that is in the NumPy Color Palette), i feel they will look more in sync if they are drawn in another color which is also on the palette (RGB 1/50/67 | HEX #013243).

I think @MarsBarLee have designed them - she can do it in this color too - maybe later or sooner - or if i get to know how that is done, i can do that too.

Someone can do a filter using photoshop on those logos or maybe other algorithms out there, do not think should be too difficult a task.

If it is needed can do on all other icons too - although should bring to notice that logos are scalar and not vector - in future if we ever need bigger logos, that could be a problem to scale them - will have to redraw them.

@InessaPawson this issue can be merged with the grand issue of unification of design of numpy.org - the issue #342

@new-vivek11 I think the discussion it getting a bit confusing. Please let's keep this issue for the original report. Any suggestions about the logos or color palette can be done in their own issues so it doesn't get mixed up. Also, please realize that a lot of the design work has been done in collaboration with the community and there are reasons for most of the decisions, so if you have concrete suggestions this would mean a larger discussion in order to change things. Thanks!

@new-vivek11 Thank you for your interest to contribute to NumPy, Vivek! The icons in the Scientific Domains subsection are in svg, which is a vector format. Please refer to this folder:
https://github.com/numpy/numpy.org/tree/master/static/images/content_images/sc_dom_img

this issue can be merged with the grand issue of unification of design of numpy.org - the issue #342

The best practice is to file an issue for each separate task (or issue). #342 is unusual, it was a quick way to document ideas for further improvement of the website. As you might have noticed, we are opening a new issue for each of the items on the list.
