Issue Manager

Andy Byers edited this page Sep 14, 2017 · 2 revisions

The issue manager lets you control the metadata associated with an Issue object. An Issue can be either a standard journal issue or it can be a "collection". Collections are groups of articles that are curated but are not an issue of the journal.

Janeway Issue Manager

On the main screen there are four options:

  1. View the issue - this lets you see all the data associated with this issue, inc. all the articles assigned to it.
  2. Delete the issue - this deletes the object and all its associations.
  3. Make Current - marks this issue as the current issue, only one issue can be current.
  4. Reorder - you can drag and drop a row of the table to reorder the issues.

View

The view screen displays the issue data and a table of contents for the issue. From here you can

  • edit the issue
  • delete the issue
  • make the issue current
  • add new articles to the TOC
  • remove articles from the TOC
  • reorder the list of articles in the TOC via drag and drop

Delete

Warning: There is no recovery option if you choose to delete an issue, all data associated with it will be gone, though the articles will remain.

Make Current

This operation will mark the issue as current and, if you are using it, make the homepage element for current issue update with the new data.

Reorder

You can drag and drop any of the rows in any order and it will be updated immediately.
