@gsmet Would you mind adding this to the 3.7.1 milestone? This is merely the second part of the same issue (#38364) with its first part (#38365) already being proposed to 3.7.1.

In other words, I would like to get both #38364 and #38420 (this) with their respective fixes (#38365 and #38421) in the next LTS.
