Rancher Desktop allows users to quit via the dock while a snapshot process(create/restore) is active.

Rancher Desktop can be quit via the dock (macOS) or the main menu (all platforms)

Proposed Solution

  • Prevent users from quitting Rancher Desktop while a snapshot process is in progress
  • Allow users to quit Rancher Desktop, but implement a mechanism to cancel the snapshot process if a user chooses to do so
