A Sensu Slack Handler plugin user reported some confusion about the precedence of arguments set in per-entity (or per-check) annotations.

The user said Runtime env_vars defined for a slack handler's definition in backend lose to event's entity annotations if latter are present.

I believe the user is referring to the plugin readme rather than env var documentation in the Sensu docs. Read the user ticket for more context.

I realize that this functionality probably exists for other plugins as well. I will add general information about config overrides to https://docs.sensu.io/sensu-go/latest/plugins/plugins/.
