About the PR

Reduces Syndicate Raid Suit and Elite Hardsuit walk/run slowdown to 5%.

Why / Balance

This corrects the minor clerical error in the uplink, stating the elite suit has "better mobility" than the standard bloodred, as well as adding additional incentive to buy the elite suit in the first place. As for the raid suit, I'd think it approximate to the webvest in mobility - trading a slight bit of speed for more armour. Also, this makes it faster than a bloodred (hardsuits being static, metal suits with built in joints).
As with both, 8/12 TC is a significant part of a Nukie's loadout (traitors, even more so), so there should be genuine benefit to these suits.

I think these speed changes have been discussed to death already.

I have never seen the raid suit used since its first debut, when people realized it was kinda bad compared to the spacing meta and people haven't used it since.

Making a plan around a raid suit is a great endeavor for nukies and it allows the majority of crew to contest nukies. I think a 5% increase in speed in exchange for the nukies being contested by all of the crew (that can wear armor instead of space protection) is fine.

Elite armor is balanced as is, the raid suit is not seen at all from my perspective.

Elite is in a kinda different situation imo
for the 40 brute resist and 12tc cost 5% slow is fine ith
you are explicitly paying to use a different set of resistances, and I think it should have more meaning due to the high cost
if the general consensus is just "fix the clerical error in the uplink" I can PR that

on my first nukeops round I bought an elite suit because it said it had better mobility
Some others could think the same

The whole reason why people bought the elite suit most of the times was because of the movespeed, not the heat resist. Imo if the price was going to be nerfed then the speed shoulnt've been touched so i think this pr is fine

Elite hard suit isn't an elite hard suit rn it's a "I'm gonna singuloose" suit. Literally not worth the tc just buy a jugg suit it's the same price. It's not an upgrade to the normal suit it's a side grade for lasers and explosives over the other damage types, so in function it's a side grade but it's priced as an upgrade. Motherfuckers just don't know how to properly nerf and go "I died plz nerf my YouTuber said it was meta in a video once" how about form your own opinion

Also "power creep" is a mald term by people who hate antags, I never see this term used next to the 500th sec buff in a row

Got used in SMG disabler convos which is why its "sidegrade"(for space and mats needed, its downgrade when you can just print normal disablers) and not upgrade.

The raid suit isn't meant to give you better melee capabilities, it's meant to allow you to take on more of the crew at once. If you want to buff it, buff the resistance to something closer to the commander suit. I think 70% resist on the suit (389 EHP with the helmet and gas mask) would be fine. You could probably even do 75% resist (467 EHP with the helmet/mask).

Nukies should have more movement speed options though, maybe I'll try and make the 12tc stimpack more viable.

I wouldn't mind a ministim buff, because right now it's just not worth it at all TC wise. It should probably be made to support a team with the applicable TC cost. Makes it viable to nukies but still balanced in Traitors.

Give nukies bottles, or even better - explosion immune containers and every nukie can have loads and loads of meth for being fast. Ephe is so easy to make and foolproof to use that you can give it to any newkie and they can't fuck it up if they do not forget to use it every now and then.

Frankly hypopen for meth and maybe saline+pun mix might be worthwhile purchase for grunts/commanders if only nukies were not so starved for containers immune to imploding from 1 damage.

The elite hardsuit to me has always been the faster option and the fastest option for spaceproof traveling. I was very disappointed when they removed that from an armor that was only slightly an upgrade of a pretty steep price.

I dont really care if they make the elite hardsuit even weaker, i just want its speed back as its really the only interesting thing it had going besides the explosion/rad resist.

As the most recent nerfer (tc cost increase, speed decrease)
I would be totally fine with it getting its speed back. 5% is fine with no other change, but if it goes back to 100% movespeed it really should have a blunt resistance reduction also.

Brute.
On the point of "specialized, high mobility, and laser/heat armor".

the elitesuit already takes more damage from piercing compared to a standard bloodred
