Cygwin for running Unix shell scripts on Windows

CygWin comprises a set of software tools to enable Unix/Linux compatibility on Windows. One simple thing is that it allows us to run .sh Unix shell scripts from the Windows command-line terminal.

Go here to download an appropriate installer for your machine’s processor (32-bit / 64-bit) and follow the instructions.
