Section 1 Aluminium Profiles (AL Profiles)
In this section preprocessing of AL Profiles will be illustrated. For this step you will need the following parts:
Part Name | How Many |
---|---|
Top Side Profiles | 2 |
Bottom Side Profiles | 2 |
Front Top Profile | 1 |
Front Bottom Profile | 1 |
Front Vertical Profiles | 2 |
Middle Vertical Profiles | 2 |
Back Vertical Profiles | 2 |
In this section, there will be no screwing
thus all the sliders will be called by it's hole diameter e.g 1xM6 = only 1, M6 profile slider. The overall AL profile naming can be seen in the figure below.
Fig 1. AL Profiles
Instuctions
There are in total of 2 bottom profiles. These parts require slider placement. To the outside 3x M6 sliders, To the inside 4x M6 sliders and to the top 3x M8 sliders. The inside
and outside
does not differ. You can select either side.
Attention: The holes on the top surface are required to connect the payload to the SMB base. Thus pay attention to them to be on the top
These holes consist of 2 levels, the bigger diameter holes near the surface should look up.
Suggestion: Try to position the sliders approximately as the distance you see in the animation this would help with alignment. Below you can find the animation to follow.

Instuctions
There are in total 2 Back Vertical Profiles. These parts require slider and 3D part placement. In total, Outside 1x M6 slider, Front side 2x M8 slider, Inside 2X M6 and 3D Positioner Long. There are Right and Left versions of the same part. Below the animation can be found.

Attention
: The 3D part only fits in one orientation.
Instuctions
There are in total 2 Middle Vertical Profiles. These parts require slider and 3D part placement. In total Backside 1x M8 slider, Front side 2x M8 slider, Inside 2X M6 slider and 3D Positioner Short There are Right and Left versions of the same part. Below the animation can be found.
Fig 4. Middle Vertical Profiles Preprocessing
Attention
: The 3D part only fits in one orientation.
Instuctions
There are in total of 2 Front Vertical Profiles. These parts require slider placement. In total, Outside 1x M6 slider, Backside 1x M8 slider and Front side 1x M8 slider. Below the animation can be found.
Fig 5. Front Vertical Profiles Preprocessing
Instuctions
There is in total only 1 Front Bottom Profile. There is only a slider placement. In total, Front Side(Outside) 1x M6, Top Side 1x M6 and 2 special 90 Degree Connectors at both ends of the profile. These shouldn't be tightened yet. Below the animation can be found.
Fig 6. Front Bottom Profile Preprocessing
Instuctions
There are in total 1 Front Top Profile. This part requires only slider placement. In total, Inside 4x M6 + 2x M8 and Front Side(Outside) 3x M6. Suggestion: Placing the sliders as shown in the video will ease your assembly process afterwards. The animation for the Front Top profile can be found below:
Fig 7. Front Top Profile
Instuctions
There are in total 2 Top Side Profiles. These parts requires only slider placement from all sides. In total, Outside 4x M6, Bottom Side 4x M8, Inside 1x M6 + 1x M8 and Top Side 4x M6. This is the most crowded profile there is. The animation to how to position the sliders is given below:
